KARPEN EXPORTS HALF OF ITS PRODUCTION

Karpen Plastik, which has been operating in the PVC plastics industry since 1995, has achieved remarkable growth in a short time due to its quality production. The company entered PVC profile production in 2004 and continues its operations with 10 regional warehouses and a network of 450 dealers across Turkey.

Chairman of the Board Halil Cankar stated that they continue their efforts to become a leading and sought-after company in the PVC industry: “As Karpen, we aim to achieve top-level customer satisfaction by manufacturing at world standards with our trained and qualified personnel. We are also constantly focused on improvement throughout all processes. As Kar Aluminum, we started our operations in 2011 and we are proud to have established the first aluminum factory in Gaziantep. With the strength we’ve gained from our dealers, we have reached the point of opening our factory, and we aim to introduce a distinctive product to the market with a unique name and high quality. Just as we did in PVC, we aim to produce a sought-after product in aluminum as well, considering the opinions and suggestions of our dealers under the guidance of our R&D department.”

Stating that they divide their products into two main groups, PVC and aluminum (PVC-ALM), Cankar said: “We have 5 PVC profile series: a 60 mm 3-chamber series, a 60 mm 4-chamber series, a 71 mm 5-chamber series, a sliding series, and a sliding series with a framed mosquito net. In aluminum, we produce railing materials, shopfront materials, mosquito net profiles, roller blind materials, shower cabin profiles, furniture profiles, and shutter profile varieties.”

Cankar emphasized that they continue to work every day to offer higher-quality products to their dealers: “As Karpen Plastik, we developed our own unique design—our roof profile called ‘Kuşkonmaz’ (Asparagus Profile)—as a result of R&D studies. Last year, we focused heavily on investments. We acquired three new extruder lines for PVC, reaching a monthly production capacity of 1,200 tons. We established our aluminum factory in 2011 and began production. This year, we aim to grow by 20% in terms of revenue,” he said.

Cankar stated that they export half of their production and that their products reach more than 15 countries: “Karpen Plastik began its export operations in 2005. We have been increasing our export figures each year. The main countries we export to include Iraq, Iran, Libya, Algeria, Tanzania, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Georgia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Our goal is to expand into new markets and raise our export standards. In the new year, we plan to enter countries like Egypt, Senegal, and Guinea in West Africa,” he said.
